Medico Industries hosted their Annual Municipal Day on Thursday May 22nd, 2014. Medico has hosted this annual event for over 20 years and once again had a huge turnout where we presented products focused on Municipal road work. Medico invited municipalities from Northeast and Central Pennsylvania and the Poconos, like past years, as a sign of gratitude for their business and also to present training toward municipal road work concerns; this year focusing on recycling and screening applications led by Joe Balboni with Vibrotech. Medico had training for the Municipal customers with instruction on how new state laws affect municipalities. Heading the training was Rion Stann, PA State Police Motor Carrier Enforcement Supervisor, accompanied by Chris Goetz, Penn DOT Municipal Services Supervisor, Gregory Scochin, Posted and Bonded Roads Coordinator, and Stephanie Marek, Special Hauling Supervisor. Newly appointed Sales Manager Philip Medico was Master of Ceremonies, and all attendants were greeted with gratitude by Medico President and CEO Thomas Medico. Mr. Medico thanked everyone for their past business and looks forward to new opportunities in the future. The weather initially looked bleak with heavy rains as the attendees drove to the event, but as predicted by Rion Stann, the clouds parted for blue skies and sunshine. Everyone shared a lunch and had an opportunity to get a close look at the new equipment on display. Medico also had product specialists from various manufacturers to answer detailed questions about their products. In attendance were representatives from Case, Wacker Neuson, Atlas Copco, Paladin Brands, Vibroscreen, Melicio Attachments, and AGL. The day was a big success with the attendees learning from the speakers about new state regulations and screening applications in the recycling field, and with customers and friends sharing past experiences over a meal.
Medico Industries was a Platinum Sponsor of the Inaugural PA Energy Games. The PA Energy Games was an all day festival to celebrate and educate attendees on all of the home grown energy from our state. We hosted the afternoons main attraction, a Heavy Equipment Rodeo, which had skilled operators compete in timed challenges and the top 3 teams and operators won prizes! They included rental credits, flat screen televisions and jackets.
